Verse Analysis - Luke 2:1-20

Greetings to all, I hope all is well as you prepare to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior. This time of year can be stressful on everyone, because to many times we get caught up in the excitement of Christmas that we forget what it is really about.
The world has tried to turn Christmas into a money making scheme by inventing santa clause and all of the other stuff to keep kids from knowing about Jesus' birth.

As Christians we need to help spread the truth about Christmas and the birth of Christ. If Jesus would not have been born then He could not have died for our sins. So this Christmas remember it's not how many gifts you get, what gift you get, or how much we spend on a gift, but about the birth of the greatest man to ever walk the earth.
Please help keep Christ in Christmas!
Have a joyous and a blessed Christmas!

1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.  2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) 3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) 5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. 6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. 8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

Verse Analysis – Continued.

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. 12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. 15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.

16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. 17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. 18 And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. 20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.

It's that time of year again, get out your Christmas tree, and string up the lights its time to celebrate Jesus' Birthday!
The story of Jesus' Birth starts out when Caesar Augustus decides to tax his people, and makes everyone return to their home town. Joseph must return to Bethlehem with his wife Mary, who is already pregnant with Jesus. The journey was 70 miles from Nazareth to Bethlehem, and would take many days. As Christians we all have a long journey to, we are on the journey to get to Heaven. The journey may be rough at times but the payoff will be to spend eternity with Jesus.
By the time Joseph and Mary arrived at Bethlehem all of the spaces at the inn was full, but they were offered the stables. So there in the stables our Lord and Savior was born and would forever change the world!
Have you ever wondered why Jesus was born in a manger, wrapped in swaddling clothes? If Jesus would have been born in some palace one could think that Jesus just came for the rich, and not for the poor. By Christ coming as He did, shows us that He did not come only for the rich, but anyone that would accept Him into their heart.
Meanwhile in the fields were shepherds watching over their sheep, when all of a sudden an angel appears, and tells them to fear not because he has great news that the Lord is born.
When the shepherds arrived at Bethlehem, they found Jesus just as the angel had said. After they had seen Jesus they couldn't contain their selves. The shepherds went around telling everyone, and praising the birth of Jesus. We as Christians need to spread the good news about the saving power of Christ.

McClurg Ministries is the ministry started by Lee McClurg. Lee started preaching in early 2003, and you could say that the ministry started there. The first website was uploaded in 2003 also.

In late 2006 Lee got a vision for a new website, one that would have the tools to give people spiritual help, and to help witness to the lost. In February 2007 the new website was completed and uploaded.

"The goal of my ministry is to spread the word of God, and to help people get closer to Him. Over the last 5 years God has expanded my ministry farther then I could have ever imagined. I look forward to seeing what God has in store for me and my ministry in the years to come."
