Trick or Treat

Text Box: As Halloween approaches, the kid’s are getting anxious to put on their costumes and go trick-or-treating for candy.
A lot of Christians doesn’t like the idea of Halloween because of all the things it has to do with the Devil and his doings.
Did you know you can use Halloween as a witnessing tool?

Text Box: There are many ways you can witness to the kid’s this time of year, but one that I have found that’s  most effective,  is witnessing during the Trick-or-Treat night.
Many kid’s come out expecting candy to satisfy their sweet tooth, well why not give them something to satisfy their soul?
At our house we put

Text Box: together a mixture of candy and Christian Tracts that is oriented around kids.
They never know when they come around to get candy they are actually getting something that can change their life!
There are many websites that sells Halloween tracts, and can fit any budget.
So this Halloween help spread God’s Holy Word to the lost children of the world.

Verse Analysis - James 1:2-8, 12

Text Box: 5.  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6.  But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7.  For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8.  A double minded man

Text Box: This month we are going to discuss how to successfully overcome a trial that you may be going through.

James 1:2-8, 12 says:
2.  My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3  Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4.  But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

Text Box: is unstable in all his ways.

12. Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
As Christian’s there are times that we are going to go through trials in our life.

Did you know that the Devil has to have permission from God to tempt us?            You may ask yourself why does God allow us to be tempted?

God allows us to be tempted so we can grow Spiritually. The more we resist the Devil, the stronger, and closer with God we become.

Some ways we can get through our trials, is by praying and reading God’s Word.

Text Box: “A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.”

Verse Analysis – Continued.

Text Box: we are going through may seem, that someone else has gone through the same thing. Even Jesus went through trials, the Devil tempted Him while He was in the wilderness.
The way Jesus fought off His trials was by using the Word. That is why it is important that we know what God’s word says.
No matter what the Devil may throw at us, God can always bring us through it, but we are the ones that must ask for His help.

Text Box: on us then what He knows we can bare.
Find yourself a Christian who has been on the journey for a few years, like a pastor, or a deacon, and seek their help, and their knowledge of the Bible.
We must remember no matter how hard the trial

Text Box: We can’t afford not to include God in our trials because He is the only one who can help us fully overcome them.
The Devil is like a strategic general; he doesn’t try to hit us where we are strongest , he try’s to get us at our weakest area.
God will never put more

About McClurg Ministries

Text Box: McClurg Ministries is the ministry started by Lee McClurg. Lee started preaching in early 2003, and you could say that the ministry started there. The first website was uploaded in 2003 also.
In late 2006 Lee got a vision for a new website, one that would have the tools to give people spiritual help, and to help witness to the lost. In February 2007 the new website was completed and uploaded.

Text Box: "The goal of my ministry is to spread the word of God, and to help people get closer to Him. Over the last 5 years God has expanded my ministry farther then I could have ever imagined. I look forward to seeing what God has in store for me and my ministry in the years to come."
